Our research activities at NanoCAS Laboratory focus on the broad field of integrated circuits (ICs) and VLSI systems with emphasis on circuit- and physical-level design methodologies. We are particularly interested in the following areas:

  • Energy-efficient nanoscale circuits and systems
  • 3D integrated circuits
  • Circuit and system design for IoT devices
  • On-chip power generation and distribution
  • Clocking and clock distribution networks
  • Noise management in digital and mixed-signal ICs
  • Implantable bio-electronic circuits and systems

We target a broad domain of applications including

  • High performance ASICs and microprocessors
  • Mixed-signal communication circuits such as transceivers
  • Low power portable processors for mobile computing and IoT
  • Implantable biomedical devices
