SRC TECHCON 2016

Weicheng presented the research results of our SRC project on low voltage clocking at SRC TECHCON in Austin, TX (in collaboration with Baris Taskin from Drexel University), September 2016. For more information, please visit https://www.src.org/calendar/e005107/ The related paper can be…

Emre’s book in Chinese

Emre Salman and Eby G. Friedman’s graduate level textbook, High Performance Integrated Circuit Design, has been translated into Chinese and is on sale by Electronic Industry Press!

Paper at IEEE TVLSI

Hailang’s paper on developing new closed-form expressions for I/O supply noise has been accepted to IEEE TVLSI. This paper discovers and fixes a significant limitation that exists in prior work, significantly enhancing the accuracy of the estimation, June 2016.

Special session at ISCAS 2016

Emre and Milutin Stanacevic organized a very successful special session (with more than 50 attendees) during ISCAS 2016. The special session was on Circuit and System Design for Emerging IoT Applications. We also presented our results on how we can…

A lot to celebrate, barbecue party

Fellow NanoCAS Lab members (with a few missing) had a fun barbecue party to celebrate, among other things, Hailang’s hooding, Tasnuva’s, Sushil’s, and Yongwan’s M.S. graduation, each with a successful thesis, May 2016

Paper at ACM GLSVLSI 2016

Our collaborative research (with Prof. Qiaoyan Yu from UNH) on hardware security in 3D ICs will be presented at the ACM GLSVLSI 2016!

Paper at IEEE TVLSI

Our collaborative paper (with Prof. Taskin from Drexel) on low voltage clocking was accepted to IEEE TVLSI. This comprehensive paper describes the primary results of our SRC project, February 2016

First PhD Alumnus!

Hailang Wang came back from the Valley and successfully defended his dissertation. He is officially the first PhD alumnus of the NanoCAS Lab. Since past November, he has been working with Apple in Cupertino, CA.

Three papers at IEEE ISCAS 2016

Tutu’s paper on wireless power harvesting for IoT devices (in collaboration with M. Stanacevic), Yongwan’s paper on voltage regulator for near-threshold operation, and Weicheng’s paper on useful skew in gated clock trees (in collaboration with B. Taskin) have been accepted…
